It started with a hat. Well, really it started with the idea of a bib I wanted to make…but I made the hat first. It got incredibly popular and I started creating different versions of the hat. Now, it is a full blown Etsy shop and turning into a little business. I love making these hats, but in a way, I look forward to slower days so that I can start working on new projects. I have so many ideas in my head! But I have one issue.
My issue as a new mom seems to be the way time moves. When I need time, it seems to be flying by. I love my little Bean, I can’t get enough of him, but my goodness, the hours that I have away from him go by so quickly. The time that I have with him typically progresses like normal time. Unless of course, we have to be somewhere, in which case, time flies faster than when I have baby-free time. If the baby is being cranky, time. could. not. move. slower. Seriously, when is it bedtime?
There is one exception to the cranky-baby-time-rule. Bedtime. Bedtimes that are easy, time moves slowly, we enjoy them, it takes 10 minutes to read a story and knock him out. It is relaxing and feel like we were rocking for an hour. Sort of like a great bubble bath…Oh how I remember the days of bubble baths. Bedtimes that are rough (the past two nights, btw), How and I still dealing with this crank-monster at 8:15?! Where is my night bleeding away to?! Last night was even worse. Server issues caused me to lose a whole night of after-bedtime-productivity. And then, when things finally started looking up, he woke up. Like woke up-woke up, not just, I-need-my-pacifier-woke-up. So we rocked.
Before I knew it, it was 1:30 in the morning and I was just going to bed, having finished no work.
On the bright side, I get my new iPhone 4S tomorrow!! I’m still using an original!
On the brighter side, we officially have a crawler! I captured it on video yesterday for PTB to verify this morning. Oh… and this post only took a week to write, so how’s that for time flying. 7 days, 370 words. I’m a great blogger.
