I’m still in the midst of post-holiday cleanup in the “sewing room”. It’s been rough to say the least. I maybe have too much fabric. I know. Impossible, right?! As I get closer to getting things cleaned up, I keep noticing projects that I want to work on. And then I sit down and have a bowl of ice cream and work on none of these things. Not cleaning, not projects, just working on clearing the DVR. It’s a slow process. It will get there.
One of the fabrics that I have had in my stash for quite a while is Michael Miller’s Retro Candy Shop.
I bought it because I couldn’t resist it. But what to do with it?? It has just sat and sat. Too girly for any projects for the boys. The print is a bit large for any of my small projects like coin purses. I was reminded of this print when I saw an adorable dress made with it on Facebook. And this made me want to make a dress for a friend who is having a little girl. Maybe not with this fabric. I have to save it in my own stash for now.
This fabric and the hundreds of others in our tiny downstairs room have me wanting to use more of them too. So in addition to my 12 in 12, I’ll be trying to actually use the fabrics I have. Not unreasonable, right? I bought some more patterns this week. And I think I decided on my next 12 in 12 project. Yay for progress!
And another night passes with no progress made on projects. But I had my bowl of ice cream and I wrote a blog post. That counts for something. No need to stress.
