Now that I’m “out“. I sort of feel like I can write again. It helps that I’m about 14/15 weeks and starting to feel slightly better. Much better if I get a nap in. This pregnancy has been completely different than my first. I’ve been able to eat, but I’ve been sicker. I’ve been exhausted, but I also feel like I need to get more done.
First on the list is social media. I know, Facebook addict, and I need to prioritize media? Okay, maybe it isn’t first on the list. but if you want to read anything on here, it should be. I used to maintain a food blog pretty regularly. I love to cook. I love to bake. I love to share that with people. I used to contribute to a pop culture blog. We won’t go into the plethora of reasons these have fallen to the wayside, but they have. And so has this blog. And I am committed to changing that. We’re going to start easy. I’m dedicating one hour a week after Ben goes to bed for blogging. And whatever other internet fun I want to do. Pinterest maybe?
Second on the list is cleaning! I need to get my house under control. We’ll be eliminating our upstairs office sometime this year to create another bedroom on the third floor. Since the office is the smaller room, we might be moving Ben into that one as his “big boy room”. I didn’t like this plan originally, but…
- He doesn’t need the big closet, the nursery does.
- We won’t need to take apart any furniture (crib) this way
- I get to decorate a big boy room for him!!
But this also means I need to organize the downstairs room. Where I sew. Oy. That will be quite an adventure. It started as our storage room. We cleared it enough to put an elliptical in. Then we cleared it a little more to add a sewing table for me. Now… Wish me luck.
For now I’ll start with the main floor. Kitchen and living room. I have started, and I am making progress! I didn’t make this house a home before Ben was born. The first year was insane for me. I am determined to get caught up (at least a little) before this baby is born.
