We celebrated Christmas early by picking up two new video games for ptb last night. A fun night out of the house after being trapped inside from Hurricane Sandy and Bean’s awesome 4+ hours in the crib this afternoon. We were very lucky to not have any damage from the storm. We didn’t even lose power! Last year’s October 29th blizzard resulted in a some crazy power issues in our area, so thankfully, the work they did last year seemed to help. We’ve been watching so much news coverage and it’s shocking how much devastation there is and so close to home. A trip to Starbucks was a very welcome break from the news. If you were in one of the areas impacted by the storm, I hope you are doing well and staying safe.
Monday I hit 32 weeks in this pregnancy. It has gone by so incredibly fast. I’ve already been a “stay at home mom” for nearly 2 months. I still feel like I have beyond too much to do. Our painting got pushed back to this coming weekend. I’m hoping the storm doesn’t change it again. I’m anxious to get things moving. Then I might feel like I need to do my next Bean related project. His curtains. Another project I’ve had fabric sitting around waiting for months. We’re using 2 black flat sheets as blackout curtains now. It’s super ghetto. They’ll be the liners to his curtains to help block some light. I can’t wait to share! Which will mean that I’ve finished another personal project. Current sewing to do list (not including curtains): 30+ items. I may or may not have entered another stage of nesting in this pregnancy…Can you tell?
Anyway, not much weight gain in the past week or two. Maybe my fear of gaining 80lbs total will not come true. At home scale weight: 150. Doctor scale weight: I’ll let you know after my appointment tomorrow). Looking at a comparison to my Bean belly, it seems 31-32 weeks was when I “popped” with him. I feel like I’ve evened out a bit compared to some past comparisons.
Any guesses on whether I’ll be having a boy or a girl?
ps. Has anyone been watching $24 in 24 hours? We have recorded it from the start, but just got caught up tonight. LOVE IT.
